TEST MULE FOR 2010 LOTUS ESPRIT SPOTTED

firstly, before you guys start asking, thats just a "test mule". They've basically disguised the actual car with the body of an old lotus esprit. Its common practice by many car manufacturers when undergoing real world trials. Sometimes, parts and body panels are taped up with pieces of plastic board taped to the body to hide the features, or in this more extreme case, a different body is used entirely. A good example locally, is of the recent sighting of a Proton MPV "mule" spotted undergoing testing near Genting Highlands. It had a toyota wish body fitted on top.
secondly, before you ask why a lotus in a bmw blog? its because this new esprit is slated to be powered by some german muscle, 4.4 V8 twin turbo's. This is the very same engine used in the new X6 crossover SUV. This is also not an uncommon exercise by Lotus. They've used engines from various manufacturers to power their cars over the years, with honda, rover and even toyota having the distinction of powering those famous sports cars from Hethel.
